Hierarchical matching of deformable shapes

WebMatching deformable 3D shapes under partiality transformations is a challenging problem that has received limited focus in the computer vision and graphics communities. With this benchmark, we explore and thoroughly investigate the robustness of existing matching methods in this challenging task. http://vigir.missouri.edu/~gdesouza/Research/Conference_CDs/IEEE_CVPR_2007/data/papers/0050.pdf

Web28 de out. de 2010 · Abstract. In this work we introduce a hierarchical representation for object detection. We represent an object in terms of parts composed of contours corresponding to object boundaries and symmetry axes; these are in turn related to edge and ridge features that are extracted from the image. WebWe describe a new hierarchical representation for two-dimensional objects that captures shape information at multiple levels of resolution. This representation is based on a hierarchical description of an object's boundary and can be used in an elastic matching framework, both for comparing pairs of objects and for detecting objects in cluttered images. WebAbstract. This paper presents a method for matching closed, 2D shapes (2D object silhouettes) that are represented as an ordered collection of shape contexts [1]. Matching is performed using a recent method that computes the optimal alignment of two cyclic strings in sub-cubic runtime. Thus, the proposed method is suitable for efficient, near ...
